The purchase of cardboard compactor and containers for recycling materials will enable an estimated 50% reduction in waste to landfill.

The purchase of recycling stations and recycling bins will help reduce the amount of paper sent to landfill by approximately 50%.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service, £1500
The purchase of Beehive composters, a single bay modular composter, trio bins, rolls of corn starch bags, colour coded wheelie recycling bins, printer cartridge bins and colour coded bins. An estimated one wheelie bin (1100 litre ) per week rising to two bins per week will be diverted from landfill.

The purchase of a cardboard baler will provide a 35% reduction in waste to landfill.
Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS Trust, £4592
The purchase of a plastic baler, will yield an estimated 20% of waste diverted from landfill.
Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, £3000
The purchase of trolleys for moving recycable waste and recycling bins for paper, cans, plastic and glass. The aim is to reduce the general waste by 300 bags p.a.
Swansea University, £10,000
The purchase of a mill sized cardboard baler is estimated to increase recycling by 6.15%.
Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, £5000
The purchase of internal recycling banks for paper, cans and plastic. An estimated diversion rate of 5% - approximately 2250 tonnes per year from landfill is expected as a result of this grant.
Pengam Primary School, £450
The purchase of bins to recycle plastic, cans and card. This will enable the school to reduce watse to landfill by 50%.
Swansea Institute, £5000
The purchase of recycling bins and billingual posters. The recycling bins will be introduced in the halls of residence and will increase recycling by 10%.

The purchase of recycling bins for offices and wards, with the aim to reduce their current waste to landfill.
University of Glamorgan, £3730.63
The purchase of a recycling baler machine is estimated to prevent 30-50 tonnes of waste going to landfill.
University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC), £4000
The purchase of recycling bins and wheel kits, with the recycling bins being provided will reduce waste to landfill from 70 tonnes per month to less than 50 tonnes per month in 3 years.

The purchase of internal bins for recycling, large bins and desk side bins. This is to improve on the colleges current 80% recycling commitments.

The purchase of Gummy Bins and their launch. This is to provide a sustainable disposal/treatment option for chewing gum, this is significant in terms of promotion, waste awareness and education.
North West Wales NHS, £1780.65
The purchase of a cardboard compactor enables 24% of domestic waste to be recycled from this site.
HM Prison Service - Prescoes, £10,000
The purchase of an in-vessel composting machine. This machine will enable the prison to divert some 325kgs of biodegradable waste away from landfill disposal.
Lewis Girls School, £105
The purchase of recycling bins. This is to enable plastic recycling which will reduce waste to landfill by 5%.
