Minister outlines zero landfill-zero waste future for Wales

The Welsh Minister for the Environment, Sustainability and Housing believes that Wales is wiser about the waste it produces and is ready to move on to the next level. The Minister was delighted with the reduction of waste to landfill and the increase in the amount of waste being recycled, reduced or re-used.

Wales has already met its share of the of the EU target set for 2010, this has been met two years early and gives the Minister confidence in meeting the proposed recycling target, which is 70% by 2025.
