Innovation Award
For this award applications were welcomed from organisations who had shown an innovative approach to reducing internal material use and waste.
Applications for awards were considered for projects targeting a single waste stream or a broader approach involving a greater number of materials. Entries could focus on projects such as waste minimisation, re-use, recycling, composting, education and awareness raising and other activities contributing to resource efficiency and waste minimisation.
Entrants had to explain why their approach or initiative was innovative for their sector. Details were also to be provided of what material(s) were targeted, and evidence of success of the scheme(s) in terms of economic savings.
