European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), 20th to the 28th November 2010
This years European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) will be held during the week of November 20th – 28th.
The aim of EWWR is to raise the awareness of the ease and importance of waste reduction.
EWWR gives schools, community groups, businesses and individuals the opportunity to arrange events such as swap shops, collections of old furniture and information days.
A number of other European countries including Belgium, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and other regions of the UK (Recycle for London, East of England, Belfast & Scotland) are all undertaking activities during the EWWR.
By taking simple actions to cut off the problem at its source, we can all make a big difference.
