BBNPA aim to combat the food waste from the Mountain centre tearooms and National Park Visitor Centre. In order to do this a Woodxhip Composter was purchased with the fund money. This has enabled the park to reduce the volume of waste needing to be transported away from site and reducing the volume of waste going to landfil.

The composter has enabled BBNPA to achieve their aims by proactively promoting waste reduction and reuse, both amoungst staff in the tearoom and the visitor centre.
